The History of OriginalSkills
OriginalSkills is a software platform designed to host test applications, born from the vision of Prof. Giuseppe Sartori, former Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Padua, and Demetrio Macheda, HR consultant and Academic Fellow at the International University Center (CUI).
The project began in 2004 with the development of the Skill View® model, thanks to the collaboration with the Behavioral Research Area of CUI. Over the following ten years, with the contribution of numerous researchers from CUI and the University of Padua, innovative solutions were created for skills assessment, used by private and public companies, schools, and universities, both in Italy and abroad.
In 2014, all these solutions were integrated into the OriginalSkills cloud platform, providing our clients with advanced tools for managing and assessing human resources. Starting in 2021, our expert evaluation systems were enhanced with the integration of Machine Learning technologies, with the goal of increasingly leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence in future releases. To address these technological challenges, OriginalSkills Srl was established in 2024, bringing together and capitalizing on over twenty years of expertise and innovation developed by its founders, Sartori and Macheda.
Mission
The mission of OriginalSkills Srl is to provide all companies, regardless of their size or industry, with certified tools for recruitment, selection, training, and human resource development. Our models are designed to support HR professionals, psychologists, coaches, and career counselors by offering them scientifically validated and recognized tools.
Technology
Since 2004, we have been working with WebRatio Srl, originally a Spin-Off of the Politecnico di Milano, to develop cutting-edge technological solutions. Thanks to this partnership, we continue to grow and evolve, integrating recruitment, evaluation, and human resource management processes into a single system, ensuring reliable, innovative, fast, and cost-effective solutions. Our future commitment is to the application of proprietary Artificial Intelligence models to make competence management increasingly effective and automated.
